WE WENT BERRY PICKING AT FIELD BERRY FARM

On Sunday we went berry picking at Field Berry Farm, about 30minutes outside Joburg. What a wonderful way to spend a morning with family. You are given a little bucket upon arrival, and are then let loose in the berry fields to pick (and sample!) as many raspberries as you like. As city-dwellers, there is something very fulfilling in partaking in a farm-to-table process of picking your fruit in the fields, seeing where it comes from, the type of bushes it grows on, and how it tastes when you harvest it yourself. Plus, raspberries are delicious, super good for for you, and can easily be devoured by themselves, on cereal, in smoothies, or frozen for later.

After berry picking you can relax and hang out on hay bales, and indulgence in the various offering of market-style food stalls.
